Kings Of Leon - Use Somebody (Tong and Rogers Wonderland Mix)
What a great record to remix - the Kings Of Leon anthem that helped secure their place in the limelight of the world. It's extremely difficult to remix a track like Use Somebody without ruining it. I'm glad to say, however, that Pete Tong and Paul Rogers' attempt is a powerful success. They create a warm musical bed of reverb soaked guitar, looped chords and strings that build nicely to the floor-filling chorus. Here, they wisely keep the musicality of the original intact, instead choosing to enhance it with club friendly percussion and tasteful instrumentation. This is a Tong and Rogers digital enhancement of the original, delivered with restraint and well chosen production choices to make an inoffensive reworking of a classic.
