Reni Lane - Place For Us (System 22 Remix)
Oregon born Reni Lane's new release Place For Us is perhaps best known for its association with a certain VH1 show. The System 22 remix featured here is worthy of your attention. Lane's unique and compelling singing style works perfectly in its new home of pounding house percussion and well-constructed layers of digital effects. Although much of the remix chooses a minimalist and digital-effect loaded path, a soothing melodic break strikes just when its needed (3:31). Here, the guitar riff is unleashed as the powerful chorus makes a striking dancefloor intermission. Overall, a solid reversioning.
