Artie Flexs - The Journey
Here's a little treat for Large Weekend readers - a free album download thanks to Latvian DJ and producer Artie Flexs. Newcomer Flexs, originally from Riga, Latvia began his DJ career in 2002. By 2004 he had himself a residency and moved into production. By 2009 his tracks were hitting the dance music radar while Disco Space EP was chosen as Tune Of The Month by MixMag. Now, his first full-length album project The Journey is rolling out. With 11 tracks in unmixed DJ friendly format and also as a continuous mix it's a dancefloor-centric production. Flexs' crisp house beats, warm punching bass lines, infectious grooves and cleverly crafted synth lines are on display throughout. I particularly like the opening track Afterparty.
