Passion Pit - Little Secrets (Jack Beats Remix)

Jack Beats are the UK dance outfit behind this forceful high-energy remix. It wasn't a surprise to read that their number one influence is The Prodigy's Liam Howlett. This remix certainly has a number of Howlett-esque production touches, but it's the manic spirit it shares most closely with the Prodigy's work. A floor-shuddering bassline forms the foundation of the track and musically it fits perfectly with the Passion Pit vocals. The tempo is increased significantly from the original and fierce bass-guitar motifs inject a huge dose of intense power to the proceedings. And despite a care-free tone, meticulous attention is given to the harmonics as each layer works perfectly with the next. Overall, a commanding and dynamic remix with impressive production touches.
