Fatboy Slim vs. Fedde Le Grand - Priase You 2009

This is Dutch DJ Fedde Le Grand's take on a Fatboy Slim all-time classic. Praise You had an infectious and nostalgic tone, its catchy vocals and laidback tempo the perfect accompaniment to a sunset-soaked beach party. And people's fondness for the original have certainly secured this remix dancefloor attention. Taking the tempo to a house-friendly place, Le Grand adds a tech-house percussive introduction that teases the vocals. After this, the famous piano riff strikes powerfully (0:53) -- albeit a rudimentary synth version of the chords featured in Fatboy's original. Strings and a stellar crescendo lead to the full return of the percussion. Le Grand has been dropping this as a private remix for some time in his DJ sets, but Fatboy, aka Norman Cook finally gave it his seal of approval for release, saying "after ten years of Praise You we had been a long, long way together through the... I think you know the rest [and] now thanks to Fedde we can start that journey all over again”.
