Dennis Ferrer - Hey Hey

Ferrer burst back into the consciousness of most dance music fans with the release of Sandcastles in 2003. Since then he's been behind a number of essential club tracks. Hey Hey is an atmospheric production centered on a largely unaccompanied pulsing rhythmic phrase. Ferrer's use of melody is sparse, but well chosen - effective hints of strings add to the growing excitement and a powerful dose of bass kicks in right after the final vocal instance of, "I heard you say". With its unique production elements and building vocal phrases, Hey Hey adds up to some powerful dancefloor material.
