Fake Blood - Fix Your Accent EP
Fake Blood's latest EP has been causing some dancefloor mayhem lately. Using the humorous "fix your accent" sample as the glue to hold together a number of very different musical ideas, it's a production that's unexpected and diverse. There isn't one consistent theme throughout, rather a series of sections. The one that gets people moving and shaking the most is the heavy bassline dominated motif (here at 1:36) - very powerful at club volume. Various other samples make for body-rocking moments as Fake Blood take the listener on an exhilarating journey through different loops and digitally manipulated samples. Overall, offfbeat and impressive.
