Analog People In A Digital World - Circus

Certainly one of the more interesting dance music acts of the moment. Analog People In A Digital World is the electronic outfit from Italy’s Matteo Esse and Sant, who in their seven years as a team have worked with names including DJ Pierre and Armand Van Helden. Circus has a great feel. It uses jazz influenced piano rhythms with sax motifs to powerful effect. The vocals flow perfectly over the bed of crisply composed feel-good fusion. As it seamlessly traverses complex chord changes, you start to get the feeling that there are some classically trained musicians at work here - the competency of the musicality is clear. Circus is also a great example of a true crossover track, gentle enough to work as commercial pop song, powerful enough to work in the clubs - and of a style that will appeal to a wide audience. Great music.
