Cirez D - On Off ( Original Mix )

Superstar Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz is behind On Off under his pseudonym Cirez D. And it's a very tasty track. An exercise in progression, On Off takes a major-seventh motif and builds it up and up, adding intensity as it moves along. The pure power of this track is that despite essentially repeating the same melodic phrase throughout, it never gets repetitive. Enough variation, digital build up, and alternating instrumentation is provided to maintain a pretty high level of excitement throughout. As the track progresses, the looped melody starts becoming hypnotic, you almost don't want it to end. And just went you think it can't be built up any further, another crowd-rocking crescendo is introduced, bringing the excitement level to a new high (eg 5:46). Great material from a dancefloor master.
