"I'm addicted to love" - but we're not talking Robert Palmer. There's a sophistication to the composition on Addicted that makes it stand out from the crowd. I love the minor key chords that are switched up to create a musically pleasing phrase. It sits perfectly with the female vocals. There's also a funkiness and panache to Addicted that brings a dancefloor alive - it's derived mostly from the sassy lyrics and the attention to detail -- crisps arpeggiated chords, just the right amount of variation, a syncopated bassline that echoes the synth melody.
