Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden - Bonkers

Wow! Creative collaberations are always interesting. Van Helden brings some hard-stomping dancefloor insanity to Brit rapper Dizzee Rascal. There are some superb touches to this track. Cutting out to four bars of white noise, then reintroducing the beats with a loud vocal sample saying "bonkers" made me smile. There's a great funkiness and floor-moving intensity to Bonkers. This is created in part by the synth bassline that's perfect at creating the desired dance-inducing effect. I love the use of distorted samples and the constantly changing "crazy" musicality, designed to match the theme of the rap. Nicely done!
