Bloc Party - Signs (Armand Van Helden Remix)

The legendary Van Helden brings his own dancefloor orientated style to Bloc Party's Signs. The heavily filtered vocal sections work well, as does the intense synth bassline. Created for maximum dancefloor effect, there are some nice crowd-pleasing touches, like dropping out all percussion and bass until a machine-gun like drum fill signals its return. There are also some interesting turntablism inspired effects, with the cutting out and distorting of track elements. A well crafted remix.
