Vette Sounds from Egbert isn't for everyone, but there's no denying its intense power and thoughtful construction. Egbert, full name Egbert Van Der Gugten is really leaving his mark on the Dutch techno scene, and Vette Sounds is a powerful example of his work. Here, Jeroen Verheji aka Secret Cinema gets the remix duty. What's most notable, aside from the incredibly powerful percussive bed, is the non-standard musical construction. With no real key structure or harmonic framework, a kind of experimental sustain is unleashed using dissonant chords and siren-type effects that are coupled with sonic grows to make a bold and arresting production.
