Reflections was one of those very special recordings. DJ and Producer Alan Fitzpatrick creates a little piece of magic with this beautifully composed progressive house track. At the core of the melody is a simple four-chord phrase, played out in thirds. Yet it's built upon with layers of arpeggiated accompaniments, statuesque counter-melodies and warm strings until something breathtakingly alluring emerges. There's an undeniably authentic emotion at the heart of the composition here. It's transmitted through Fitzpatrick's layers of graceful instrumentation with reflective harmonies and tender production. Overall, Reflections is contemplative in tone and gentle - yet packing enough of a percussive punch to move a dancefloor. Truly beautiful music.
