Disco of Doom, also known as Tom Real and The Rogue Element, originally rose to fame from their monthly on-demand show on Samurai FM. The MySpace description fits quite nicely, "with a shared appetite for destruction and a love of loose women Disco Of Doom sees the duo deliver sick electronic bangers to destroy dance floors across the globe". In Effect is a spooky number with an exciting and creative use of vocal samples. Snippets of effected laughter add to the mania. A pulsating bassline and single-note pauses are also particularly powerful. Overall, it's an intense and well-constructed production with a focus on atmosphere rather than melody.
