BEST OF 2009: Kamuki - Nachtmusik

It's been a huge year for dance music. Over the next ten days we're going to look back at the largest tracks of 2009, as featured on Large Weekend.

Check THIS out! Kamuki dare to be a little bit different with Nachtmusik. A minor-key and musically beautiful four-bar phrase forms the centerpiece of this track and it's strong enough to carry the whole work. Layers of instrumentation are added until a pause at the mid-way point (here @ 1:07). It's just after this that that the full symphonic strings are brought on for a crisps rendition of the central theme. The melody line is doubled up with other synth instruments and the luscious string chords form the icing on the cake. Unusually superb composition and a flawless production.
