Groove Armada - I Won't Kneel

London's Groove Armada (Andy Cato and Tom Findlay) have been producing a steady stream of first rate recordings for well over a decade now. This release from the forthcoming album Black Light is called I Won't Kneel. It's a very special track indeed. With its retrospective instrumentation, I Won't Kneel feels like an eighties period-piece - perhaps a result of the synthesized percussive styles and electronic sound palette. What's truly magical, however, is the nostalgic feelings that Groove Armada perfectly translate into music. The reflective chorus with its lyrics of longing is especially haunting. And the beautiful vocal performance from SaintSaviour is as enchanting as Armada's musical backing. A great record that will stand the test of time. Looking forward to the remixes!
