How many great records can Eric Prydz produce! Brand new, on his own label comes "Lift". It builds using a simple but effective minor key chord phrase and then takes the melody away. It's in the build-up to the melody's return that Pryda's dancefloor expertise really kicks in. With dream-like sustained notes and arpeggiated synth chords, the piano motif is gradually faded back in. As this happens, effects and continuously building instrumentation are added - creating massive dancefloor excitement and anticipation. This is a great production, well thought out and designed for maximum dancefloor effect.
