What a tune! World premiered by Pete Tong over the weekend, this is David Guetta's finest hour. With haunting vocals from Kelly Rowland, Love Takes Over is a beautifully crafted and melodically rich anthem in the making. Its arpeggiated piano riff draws obvious comparisons to Cold Play, but he uses that familiarity to his advantage - taking the chord structure to new and unexpected places. When its driving beats kick in, you see Guetta's masterful understanding of creating intensity - in a way that, perhaps, only a DJ of his experience could put together. This is first class!
